Happy Mothers Day

It's hard to explain........... she was a mom who never missed one of my track

meets, basketball or soccer games.......who beamed with pride talking about
us kids............when my brother wanted a special guitar, she drove to Detroit to  buy it.......she always freaked out when one of us got hurt..........she loved and took great care of the three homes that her and dad built from 1950 to  1968. It's different now and it's my turn to take care of her.
She is in a memory care unit. the dogs and I see her almost everyday. I thank God that she still remembers me...........she doesn't remember their names, but, always asks "where are the dogs"

Phase II of This Old House

To My Friend Nick, the attached pergola is done and almost painted. The stacked stone and built out
columns will be done in the next week or so. Thanks for helping with my vision. We are loving it!!

Free "Parking Lot" Sale

The last weekend of every month, plan on checking out  "One of a Kind"
parking lot sale! Anyone and everyone  is encouraged to come and set up shop and sell something!! In and around the parking lot.
Just a  small sampling of what you may find:
Homemade soaps, clothes, vintage books, lots of furniture, puppies,
hand crafted out door furniture, childrens clothes, books and toys!
It changes every month and we are starting to see the same  vendors,  come back........OH, did I say that you can set up for FREE............................
come when you
want and leave when you are ready! It can be viewed quite well from the street so it brings in lots of new faces to buy good things that are 4-SALE.............

This Old House!

Color not only  totally changes the interior of a home, but, also the outside!

We tore out our sidewalk several years ago to redesign a curvy path lined with brick paver and walking stones. Loved it then and love it even more now with the new dark gold color and swamp green trim!

Cherry Pie Turned Into Vanilla Cream Custard ~ BAM!

A really nice chest with two doors and drawer.............start with a primer, go to a gold based paint
top with cream glaze........ change out the knobs and kicked up a notch from "was" to "is" fabulous!!

        This cool carved hanging  has doors that open

         in the middle to reveal a mirror. It was a very

        dark stained wood so I added some creamy color
         paint and darkened it with a taupe color.
         It gave it a whole new life!

100 Years Old And Looking Great..............

       Black paint, distressed edges, a little rub of color on the carved areas and better than new to look at!

Spice it up!

 The hot little red chest in the first picture was transformed from the wood chest  in the second picture...

what else??????? Midnight. Who needs Hollywood when Target is for the event host right around the corner and so the fun begins.
Rachel my "Team Edward" friend is going to giggle and love every minute of it with me and all the
other crazy females. Life is short. Enjoy it while you can!
